On July 3, the second 24,188 TEU ultra large container ship “OOCL TURKIYE” built by NACKS for Orient Overseas (International) Container Line Ltd. was delivered in Dalian. It will soon join the previously delivered container ship “OOCL SPAIN” in serving AEU7 service loop from the Far East to Northwest Europe.

“OOCL TURKIYE” is the second of six ships of the same type in this series built by NACKS for Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL). A naming ceremony was held in Nantong on June 6, and sea trials began on June 15. After successfully completing its sea trial, the ship berthed at the shipyard of DACKS and completed the final work before delivery.

In order to provide better delivery conditions for shipowners and improve customer satisfaction and work efficiency, since the first ship of the same type was delivered in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province in March, NACKS has been trying to find a different delivery place to meet the needs of shipowners. At the critical moment, DACKS, a sister company of NACKS, stepped forward without hesitation, offering a helping hand with the belief that “unity is power”. It urgently communicated and coordinated with the local government functional departments, opened up a green channel to handle relevant procedures, and did its best in terms of manpower and material resources. Through close cooperation and continuous struggle from both employees, the smooth delivery of the ship was ensured.

Compared with the same type of ship delivered before, the delivery cycle of this ship has been greatly shortened and the delivery efficiency has greatly improved, which is attributed to the lean management of NACKS, the selfless assistance and support of DACKS, as well as the strong cooperation of OOCL shipowners and the hard work of all employees.
