In order to facilitate the execution of the work deployment by the Party Group of COSCOSHIPPING and the Party Committee of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry with respect to championing an integrated development steered by Party building, NACKS convened a dedicated symposium on June 27 focused on the integrated development of Party building and corporate development. During this symposium, the second branch of Detailed Design Department of the Technical Division presented a comprehensive report on the Party building integration project titled "Assisting in R&D and Design for the World's First 24K Methanol Dual-fuel Container Ship with High-quality Party Building". Mr. Gao Yongqiang, the President and Secretary of the Party Committee of COSCOSHIPPING, graced the session with his presence, actively participating in comprehensive dialogues with all the attendees.

Mr. Gao Yongqiang meticulously examined the advancements and potential obstacles in the project, emphasizing that fostering the integration of Party building is not merely a demand of Party building in the current new era but also a vital impetus for the company's ongoing superior development. The company's Party building integration initiative, which focuses on the design and breakthroughs in the methanol 24KTEU undertaking, is a task chosen in alignment with the core activities and principal objectives of the enterprise, possessing significant practical value. This particular initiative’s comprehensive design seamlessly bridges the preliminary and production schematics, facilitating the manufacturing process—a paramount linkage that necessitates impeccable collaboration to achieve excellence.

Mr. Gao Yongqiang emphasized that the green and low-carbon ship design and R&D represent the new track of the future. Prioritizing the development of the 24K methanol dual-fuel container ship, he highlighted that the first and second divisions of the Detailed Design Department should seize the opportunity of the Party building integration project to unify their thoughts and build consensus. It's pivotal to efficiently organize personnel, train our design teams, and strive to ignite passion and unity among employees. Through collaborative work on the 24K methanol dual-fuel container ship project, we are committed to fostering harmony and fluidity in problem-solving. A thorough discussion and meticulous planning are key to elevating design quality, transforming the project into a benchmark of excellence, and regarding the correction rate of design drawings during construction as a vital measure of design quality. Detailed design managers must demonstrate anticipatory thinking and an acute awareness of risks to prevent systemic risks in ship design.

Key Party members from the Detailed Design Department branches of the Technical Division, along with the relevant representatives from the company's human resources, discipline inspection and party affairs departments, participated in the meeting.
